Ryugu samples cast doubt on previous ideas about the formation of carbon-rich asteroids
About 2 million years after the formation of the solar system, the first carbonaceous chondrites, consisting of dust, chondrules, early condensates, and iron-nickel particles, aggregated outside the orbit of the still young Jupiter.
