Micromorne is approaching.
The full moon appears slightly smaller and dim on Saturday nights. However, this change may be difficult to spot with the naked eye.
“That’s a very subtle difference,” said Alan Blizzard, an astrophysicist at St. Michael’s University in Vermont.
The phenomenon occurs when the moon is at the farthest point from the Earth. It’s the opposite of the Supermoon, as the moon approaches Earth and looks a little bigger.

Flower Moon rises behind the ancient temple at Cape Sonion’s Poseidon, about 70 kilometers (45 miles) south of Athens, Greece, on Thursday, May 23, 2024.
To see the Micromorne, go outside and look up at the area with a vivid view of the moon.
Supermorns and Micromorns occur several times a year as the perfect phase of the moon is synchronized with the orbit.
Another Micromorne is tapping in May. This year, three supermoons will be displayed in October, November and December.
The more colorful moon event took place in March when a total solar eclipse turned the moon red.
